We are seeking qualified and highly experienced Immunization M&E expert that will support our team composition for the proposed grant application.


Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and highly experienced Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Immunization Manager to join our team. The M&E Immunization Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting our efforts to develop and implement effective strategies and interventions tailored towards strengthening immunization program implementation in sub-national consequential geographies in Nigeria. The Immunization M&E Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the monitoring and evaluation activities related to immunization programs. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress, impact, and outcomes of immunization initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with internal teams, government agencies, and external partners to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with established standards and protocols.


Job Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools, and protocols for immunization programs.
  2. Design data collection methodologies, including surveys, assessments, and routine reporting mechanisms
  3. Manage data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information to stakeholders
  4. Conduct regular data quality assessments and provide technical assistance to improve data accuracy and completeness
  5. Collaborate with program teams to identify performance indicators and targets, and track progress towards program goals
  6. Provide guidance and capacity building support to staff and partners on M&E concepts, methodologies, and best practices
  7. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment of M&E activities with national and global immunization strategies and priorities
  8. Prepare comprehensive M&E reports, presentations, and other communication materials for internal and external audiences
  9. Participate in program reviews, evaluations, and strategic planning processes to inform decision-making and program improvements


Required Competencies

  1. Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles, methodologies, and tools.
  2. Proficiency in data management, analysis, and visualization using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R).
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Proven project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  8. Knowledge of immunization policies, strategies, and best practices is preferred.
  9. Familiarity with health information systems and electronic data collection tools is an asset.


Education and Experience

  1. Advance degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health informatics, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the field of immunization or public health.
  3. working with government agencies, international organizations, or NGOs involved in immunization programs is desirable.
  4. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, conducting data analysis, and producing high-quality reports.
  5. Previous experience in capacity building, training, or technical assistance related to M&E activities is an advantage.


Compensation

There will be no direct compensation for being added as a member of the proposed grant team.


Future engagement prospect

Upon successful funding acquisition, there exists the potential for a consulting role for team members. This extended engagement would entail continued collaboration on the implementation and oversight of the strategies developed, with specific terms and duration to be mutually agreed upon. This offers an opportunity for the M&E Manager to contribute further and provide ongoing expertise for the project's successful execution.
